Dr. Roger Doss
Dr. Roger Doss holds a doctor of philosophy degree in child counseling from the University of North Texas State University, as well as, a masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. He has been the Executive Director of the Family Counseling Center in Fort Worth, Texas, the last seven years Prior to becoming Executive Director, he was the clinical director at the Family Counseling Center for twenty years.
As a counselor, Roger deals with adults, couples and children. He works with individuals who are struggling in relationships and those who’ve experienced trauma. He helps teens and their parents, as well as, younger children who are experiencing issues. In his doctoral studies, he studied with Play Therapy pioneer, Dr. Garry Landreth. In addition to his counseling, he teaches Bible, math, science and physical education in the Center school.
Roger is a Licensed Professional Counselor and, in addition, supervises counseling interns, is a certified teacher. Having worked with many clients who are dealing with the Child Protective Services arm of the Department of Health, he's experienced in helping families in crisis.
